Republic Day celebrations held across Telangana

Hyderabad, Jan 26 (PMI): Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma unfurled the national tricolour at the Parade Grounds here on Monday as part of the 77th Republic Day celebrations. He later inspected the march past by various contingents.

Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, Assembly Speaker G Prasad Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and several cabinet ministers were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who is currently in the United States attending a leadership programme at Harvard University, extended Republic Day greetings to the people of Telangana. In a message released by the CMO, he said January 26 marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution and forms the foundation of India as a democratic, secular, socialist and sovereign republic. He added that the Telangana government is implementing various development and welfare programmes in line with the ideals of freedom fighters and the framers of the Constitution.

Republic Day celebrations were held across Telangana.

Telangana High Court Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh unfurled the national flag at the High Court premises. BRS Working President K T Rama Rao hoisted the tricolour at Telangana Bhavan.

Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao unfurled the national flag at the party’s state office in Nampally and addressed party workers. In a post on X, he said several constitutional amendments were undertaken under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to strengthen social justice and national unity

TPCC President B Mahesh Kumar Goud unfurled the national flag at Gandhi Bhavan, with Minister Mohammad Azharuddin and other Congress leaders in attendance.

AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi also unfurled the national flag at various locations in the city.(pressmediaofindia.com)
