REPEATED OFFENDERS DETAINED UNDER PD ACT:CP CYBERABAD

Hyderabad 20th Feb’20 (PMI): In an ongoing drive against repeat offenders in Cyberabad Commissionerate, Sri V.C. Sajjanar, I.P.S., Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad has invoked Detention order under the P.D Act as “Goonda” against the accused *Kelavath Shankar S/o* *K.Damla, aged 38 years, occ: Clothes Merchant, R/o Near Hanuman Temple, Hanuman Nagar, Sadashivapet, N/o H.No. 6-37, Ramnagar, Hyderabad.*

The accused Kelavath Shankar is resident of Sadasivpet. He addicted to bad vices and decided to commit House Burglaries during the night time to earn easy money. He used to move in the area on foot and identify the locked houses and break open the locks with an Iron rod, gain entry into the house, broke open the locks of almirah and commit theft of Gold, silver ornaments and cash. He involved in six (6) cases in quick succession in a span of one month from May 2019 to June 2019, in the limits of Chandanagar Police Station of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate and Ameenpur P.S of Sangareddy District.

As his acts are considered prejudicial to the maintenance of public order he has been detained under Preventive Detention (PD) Act to keep him out of the society for a considerable period in the prison and to prevent him from committing further such offences. (PMI)
