Hyderabad, Sept.27 (PMI): The Telangana State Ministers, MLAs and other elected representatives have paid rich floral tributes to freedom fighter Sri Konda Laxman Bapuji across the Telangana State on the occasion of his 107 birth anniversary on Today.
Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao unveiled the statue of Konda Laxman Bapuji in Sircilla and recollected his struggle for the separate State of Telangana.
Minister for Excise Srinivas Goud garlanded to the portrait of Bapuji at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi and recollected his association with him during the struggle for the separate Telangana State.
The Minister said Konda Laxman had actively participated in the Quit India movement, Mukhi and Telangana agitations and had played a key role in these agitations from the region.
Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav garlanded to the statue of Bapuji at Jala Drushyamin in Hyderabad and paid rich tributes to him Stating that throughout his life, Bapuji fought for the weaker sections and the oppressed as well as for the achievement of Telangana State, Talasani said that the State government has been recollecting Bapuji’s selfless service for the society by organising his birth and death anniversaries officially.
Meanwhile, Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy paid tributes to the portrait of Bapuji at his residence in Bansuwada in Kamareddy district. He said that the life of Konda Laxman was an inspiration to the present and future generations and he would be remembered for his hard work and selfless service for the people.
