Hyderabad Dec 24 (PMI) In connection with the recent murder of Junaid, the city police conducted an early morning raid on the residences of notorious rowdy sheeter Jaffer Pahilwan and his sons as part of intensified action against rowdyism and criminal elements.
The operation, led by the South Zone police, involved nearly 60 police personnel. During the searches, police recovered several illegal knives and documents suspected to be related to unlawful property transactions. The seized documents are being subjected to detailed verification.
Based on the recovery of illegal weapons, police have decided to register two separate cases under the Arms Act against Jaffer Pahilwan, a rowdy sheeter with over 40 criminal cases, his son Sayeed Pahilwan, an ex-rowdy sheeter involved in five cases, and another son, Sulemaan Pahilwan, who is involved in one criminal case.
All three accused are currently absconding. Special police teams have been formed and deployed to trace and apprehend them at the earliest, police said.
Appealing to the public, police requested citizens to share any information related to the whereabouts or activities of the accused, assuring that the identity of informants would be kept strictly confidential.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Zone, Hyderabad, stated that rowdyism and criminal activities would not be tolerated and that stringent action would continue to ensure the maintenance of law and order.(pressmediaofindia.com)
