Traffic Police Rachakonda adopted regular enforcement work and special drives to ensure road safety and free flow of traffic and booked 34,042 M.V Act cases among various heads and imposed Rs 1,37,28,710/- as fine amount, Besides Traffic Awareness programmes among road users to awake awareness among general public the explanatory work executed by traffic branch Rachakonda from 18.12.2021 to 24.12.2021 is as follows.
- ENFORCEMENT WORK UNDER VARIOUS HEADS AS DIRECTED BY “HON’BLE SUPREME COURT COMMITTEE ON ROAD SAFETY” DURING THE WEEK.

- Drunk and Drive Special Drive during the week.
To curb the menace of drunk driving Rachakonda Traffic Police have booked 413 D.D cases from 18.12.2021 to 24.12.2021, also violators were counseled by the TTI staff in presence of their parents and proper record is being maintained, thereafter 369 respondents produced before concern Hon’ble Courts. The Hon’ble Court imposed a fine amount of Rs: 8,47,500/- to the D.D respondent. While 20 persons were imprisoned. (2) letters addressed to the institutions, organizations who they are working in, are also being intimated about the incident and being urged to conduct road safety education to their employees not to indulge in future.

- TRAFFIC EDUCATION AWARENESS PROGRAMMES:
As a part of achieving the objective of “Accident Free Society” Rachakonda Police has been conducting Traffic awareness programs to bring Traffic awareness among the public, Students and drivers to make the area accident free. Besides conducting counseling to D.D offenders, Behavior and Orientation Training, Safety precautions to stop spread of Covid-19 among general public and Vertical training to staff to improve quality standards. - ROAD ACCIDENTS:
The following road accidents were reported in the limits of Rachakonda.

REASONS FOR ROAD ACCIDENTS:
As per the Road accident data analysis data it has revealed that most of the accidents were occurred due to human errors and road engineering defects.
MAJOR HUMAN ERRORS:
- Negligence of Drivers.
- Over speeding of vehicles.
- Driving under alcohol influence.
- Self skid of vehicles.
The Traffic Engineering cell staff along with other stake holders have visited (15) fatal accident occurred places along with concerned stake holders and L&O and Traffic officers, minutely studied the cause for road accidents. Short term, Midterm and Long Term remedial measures were addressed to concern stake holders.
Traffic Engineering Cell staff continuously Coordinating and monitoring the suggestions identified to rectify the Black Spots / Accident occurring places and the following short term/ Mid Term measures were completed in coordination with concern stake holing department.
IMPORTANT ROAD ENGINEERING WORKS COMPLETED:
- Pipe line fixing work for draining of rain water is completed on MN Bridge at Kothur limits on NH-765.
- Pruning of bushes were completed at Bramanapally on Sagar Highway.
- Illumination work was completed at ORR between two Rotaries and at the circles at Bonglur.
- Installed power blinkers at Dolphin Hotel, Bibinagar on NH-163 Warangal highway.
- Road Marking painting works at Toll plaza to Gudur junction NH-163 towards Hyderabad road.
- Road damaged shoulder covering with mud work has been completed at Yemnampet X road.
- Median bushes trimming work was completed at Vandana Hotel Ghatkesar
- Mud cleaning work was completed at ORR Ghatkesar under bridge on NH163
- T overlaying work completed from Toll road 40 Km to Baba family Dhaba 42 km Malkapuram on NH 65 towards Vijayawada.
- Damaged shoulder road covered with mud on NH65 at Andole Maisamma temple Malkapuram on NH 65.
- Dumping and leveling work is completed with mud on Road edges from Mohabbath Nagar to Kothur on NH-765.
- One side road B.T laying work is completed from AHAR Mart & Bakery to Sidhartha Women’s College on RCI Road.
- Road damage patch work is completed at NFC junction
- Road damage patch works B.T laying is completed at Radhika Signal beside Narsingh Shopping Mall.
- Road Markings and Rumble strips laid completed at 9th Battalion Road under the limits of Malkajgiri Tr PS.
- Zebra crossing and stop line markings was completed at ZTC junction.
- Under electrical work completed at Nethaji Statue Ashok Nagar.
- Patch work completed at Gurramguda X road on Sagar Highway.

MAJOR INITIATIVES:
- Regularly supervised the work of all my subordinates, issued suitable instructions time to time to improve the enforcement work. The awareness programmes and effective enforcement work done in the area increased free flow of traffic.
- As a part of educating the staff and general public so many training sessions were designed and conducted to improve road safety awareness. Vertical wise training is being conducted regularly to improve the knowledge and working sense among the staff.
- More emphasis was given to educate people about traffic laws to ensure road safety in other than GHMC areas of our Commissionerate as the people are from rural background.
- Made route bandobust arrangements in view of Hon’ble CJI visited to Warangal from Hyderabad on 19.12.2021 in Rachakonda limits.
- Made route bandobust arrangements in view of Hon’ble Chief Justice of AP to Vijyawada from Hyderabad on 19.12.2021 in Rachakonda limits.
- Made bandobust in view of visit of Hon’ble Home Minister of Telangana at SVM Grand under the limits of Uppal Tr PS on 19.12.2021.
- Made route bando bust arrangements in view of Hon’ble judge of Supreme Court visited to Srisailam from Hyderabad on 21.12.2021.
- Made route bandobust in Rachakonda limits in view of Hon’ble Governor of Telanagana visited to Marriguda of Nalgonda District on 23.12.2021.
- Made bandobust arrangements of Radhe Shyam Movie pre-release event at Ramoji Film City in the limits of Vanasthalipuram Traffic PS on 23.12.2021.
- Made route bandobust arrangements in view of Hon’ble CJI visited to Vijayawada from Hyderabad on 24.12.2021 in Rachakonda limits.

- In view of ongoing underpass work at LB Nagar X Road visited the excavation work place inspected the site along with GHMC and Police Department officials concern. To facilitate free flow of traffic and ensure road safety traffic diversion is proposed through alternative routes and the same was published in media. Arranged directional signage’s in alternative route to alert road users.
- Strict instructions were issued to all Traffic SHOs and Engineering cell to visit fatal accident spots for identifying reasons and remedial not to repeat road accident at the same spot to ensure road safety and decrease in fatal accidents ratio in the area. Personally supervising the data and work of Inspectors & Engineering cell to ensure effectiveness.
- Strict instructions were issued to all traffic PSs to conduct daily drunken drive tests in interior places, alternative routes, accident prone areas, Black spots to curb road accidents.
- Regular supervision and timely instructions in submitting option form to CP Office by all officers and men working in traffic branch, concluded in prescribed time.
- Strict instructions were issued to all traffic p.ss to conduct regular patrolling on main roads to remove parked vehicles on main roads and road shoulders to curb road accidents.
