Hyderbaad 2nd March 2020 (PMI): Flyer of week long programme released by Rachakonda CP & team with Rachakonda security council office bearers. As a part of this on 2nd March Project Safe stay for sensitization of management of working women/ PG women hostel organised with Dr Mamata Raghuveer of Tharuni NGO & Upender Reddy Zonal commissioner of L B Nagar as chief guest. On 3rd March “She for her” program for sensitization of 400 girls volunteers from different Colleges organised at Guru Nanak Institution, Ibrahimpatnam with Smita Sabarwal IAS, Spl Secy to CM. On 4th March program on women/ cyber safety at TCS Adibatla organised for IT industry leaders. On 5th March a program for sensitization of 600 self help group members organised at Bhongir with Minister Satyavati Rathod garu, Whip & Aler MLA Sunita garu as chief guest. On 6th March internal committee office bearers ( ICC) which are formed under Sexual harassment at work place sensitization program organised at IICT, Nacharam with Smt Swati Lakra IG women safety as chief guest. On 7th March mega conclusion program with 3000 students, women & men organised at Saroornagar indoor stadium with Home Minister Mohammad Ali garu, Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy , DGP Mahender Reddy as chief guest.
As part of the international Women day 2020 celebration with the theme “# eachforequal”, started with “Project Safe Stay”, covering Hostels and PG’s which are becoming inevitable for the Working Women and Career aspirants relocating from different geographies.
Hostel and PG Accommodation Service Providers were invited for Awareness & Governance Session to Promote & Provide a Safe and secured living.
Rachakodana Police personnel, audited around 180 hostels within Commissionerate limits as part of “Safe & Shielded Living’ and observed the need to strengthen with a sturdy guidelines.
Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Sri Mahesh Baghwat, Addl CP Sudhir Babu, RKSC Secy Satish, VC Das Gunalan, Jt Secy Women’s forum Latha, Margdarshak Archana , Addl DCP Salima, Shilpavali & DCP Malkajigiri Rakshita has formally launched the 10 Commandments and explained the importance of each of the commandments, which are to be mandatorily adhered by all the service providers.
Commissioner of Police has also additionally demonstrated the ease to use Fire Extinguisher.
Chief Guest Sri Upender Reddy, Deputy Commissioner, GHMC graced the occasion. He has highlighted norms which Hostel Owners are expected to adhere. He also insisted on the regulatory norms including Hostel Registrations, Commercial Registration, Food Safety, Sanitary Certification, Fire Safety Norms.
Chief Guest Dr. Mamata Raghuveer Achanta, Founder ,NGO graced the occasion and congratulated the Rachakonda Police team in organizing this unique event of having a awareness session on the guidelines together with police and the hostel owners which is first of its kind. She also congratulated the service provider’s saying they have become an inevitable part of the society and they have a critical and responsible role to play towards the safety and security of the inmates. She also made specific mention that they play a role of extended families for the inmates which is very valuable (PMI).
