“Police On Duty Round the Clock to Serve Citizens
Hyderabad, September 15 (PMI):ACP Yadgiri of Gandhi Nagar Division stated that the police are available round the clock to serve the public and are taking all necessary steps to control crime. He emphasized that citizens also have an important role to play in curbing criminal activities.
Speaking on community policing, ACP Yadgiri said that the police are engaging with residents to understand their concerns. Patrolling has been intensified at deserted and public places, while close watch is being maintained on criminals and rowdy sheeters. He added that the measures are being strictly implemented under the directions of Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand.
According to him, continuous patrolling has already led to a noticeable decline in crime rates. Special efforts are being made to eliminate anti-social activities at bus stops and crowded areas. Patrolling in all police stations within the division has been increased, while rowdy sheeters and criminals are being counseled to lead normal lives, with job opportunities also being facilitated for them.
On drug-related issues, the ACP mentioned that awareness programs are being conducted in educational institutions to inform students about the dangers of drug abuse. He further cautioned citizens to stay vigilant against cyber frauds spreading through social media.
ACP Yadgiri appealed to the public to immediately dial 100 in case of emergencies, assuring that police will reach the spot within 5 to 10 minutes. He concluded that crime can only be eradicated if the community joins hands with the police.(pressmeiaofinia.com)
