Hyderabad, April 8 (PMI): IT and Municipal Minister K T Rama Rao today instructed that the officials expand the works of Telangana Fiber Grid (T-Fiber) to connect all municipalities and the villages with speed internet services.
At a high level review meeting held at T-Hub of Telangana Fiber Grid Corporation Board here the minister asked the officials to speed up the remaining works of providing internet services to the households in all villages. As part of the Fiber Grid, the officials should file a report on giving the same to the GHMC limits, he said.
The minister stated that they have already decided to provide internet to every household in the villages and the GHMC area has to get the same. Our objective is to see that the villagers are not put away from latest technologies and avail of better services online, he said.
KT Rama Rao stated that the active coordination among the officials will help complete the works as planned. The officials informed that the works are almost complete in the villages which are connected with Mission Bhagiratha scheme and the rest will be soon completed. They said that the works will be completed by August end provide the internet services to the villages in the state.
He instructed that 30,000 government offices should get the internet facility on a priority basis. As per instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the internet has to be provided to all Rythu Vedikas being setup in the districts. This will enable the farmers get internet services he said.
KTR asked the T- Fiber team to provide the same through a study by considering broad band as a utility to towns. (PMI)
