MELBOURNE/KARACHI: At last, once again, on the specific directions of a ‘neighbouring Islamic country’, the Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) of Pakistan have been started a massive and brutal crackdown against the organizers, participants and protesters including women, children, patients, aged and disabled citizens those were either joined or having sympathy with an ‘anti-enforced disappearance sit-in arranged in-front of the residence of Dr Arif Alvi, the President of Pakistan, situated in Karachi’s PECHS area for the last 11 days peacefully, impressively and quite legally while a ‘Manipulated Criminal Case (First Information Report/FIR) Number 123/2019 under PPC’s sections 147, 148, 149, 120B, 121, 121-A, 341, 427 and 505 was also registered at city’s concerned Bahadurabad Police Station ‘to ease and make legal’ all actions against ‘accused community’ and dozens of people were either arrested or again ‘enforced disappeared’ (as routine) since the crackdown started last yesterday night, hence, three children, two aged disable persons and five women were also missed on the scene; sufferers and sources claimed.
According to sources, police have arrested 88 Shia people in a crackdown till the filing of this report from more than 30 different areas in Karachi including PECHS, Muhammad Ali Society, New and Old Rizvia societies, Incholi, Sadaat Colony, Jaffer-e-Tayyar, Muhammadi Dera Malir, Old Golimar, Hussain Hazara Goth, Garden East, Soldier Bazar and Gulshan-e-Iqbal following a series of said FIR during the last 24 hours.
The LEAs personnel tried to disperse the members of sit-in through a sudden onslaught late night by airier-firing, baton charge and tear gas while hundreds of officials in uniforms and plainclothes along with dozens of private vehicles and police vans tortured participants brutally, arrested and enforced abducted them hence, their mobile phones, cash and valuables were also snatched.
On the other hand, thousands of Shia community members those living overseas particularly in America, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, Belgium, France and Italy have said that the Pakistani government as well as all LEAs should trim the nails of sense and stop to use of power against innocent and peaceful protesters otherwise, the security and prosperity of the country as well as a whole nation may be destroyed.
A famous blogger Salman has said that Shia community has no place in Pakistan because the country has been sold to Saudi Arabia.
Sources told Messenger that the protests have spread and dozens of more sit-ins were also arranged citywide while a nationwide plan of gripe has been finalized on the demand of Syed Rashid Rizvi after the above crackdown.
