Prohibitory Orders Imposed in Jubilee Hills Ahead of Bye-Elections;C P Avinash Mohanty, IPS

Hyderabad, Nov 6: The Cyberabad Police have imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the BNSS in areas falling under the Sanathnagar Police Station limits ahead of the Jubilee Hills bye-elections scheduled for November 11, 2025.

According to a notification issued by Commissioner of Police Avinash Mohanty, IPS, the assembly of more than five persons will be prohibited from 6:00 PM on November 9 to 6:00 PM on November 12, 2025, in the polling areas under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

The order aims to maintain law and order, peace, and public tranquillity, and prevent any possible disturbance during the election period. A complete ban on unlawful assemblies and public meetings will be enforced throughout this duration.

However, the notification clarified that house-to-house visits involving five or fewer persons for door-to-door campaigning will be permitted.

The police have cautioned that anyone violating these orders will face prosecution under relevant laws. (pressmediaofindia.com)
