Hyderabad, May. 29 (PMI): Reacting to Miyapur land scam case, Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali, who also holds Revenue portfolio today said that inquiry was ordered and stringent measures will be taken against those involved.
Expressing grief at the land scam, the deputy chief minister said that 547 acres of government land was also there in the illegal registration of total 796 acres land. Sub-Registrar Srinivas Rao, whose name cropped in the land scam, has done wrong, he added. The Government will take serious steps against the recurrence of such scandals, he warned. Illegal registration of lands by some vested interests in connivance with the some officials is bringing bad name to the government, he said. “We will take serious action against those involved in the land scam”, Mahamood Ali said.
Stating that inquiry into Gold Stone lands will be ordered, Ali expressed concern that despite giving 43 per cent fitment to the employees, such corruption and irregularities are being taken place. Sub-Registrars and other staff staying at one place for a long time will be transferred to districts, he said. The staff, who have been staying for long time are making friendship with locals and involving in such scams causing a problem, he opined. (PMI)
