Prime Minister Narendra Modi held discussions with BJP MPs from seven states at his residence in New Delhi this morning to discuss various development programmes in the states. Party MPs from Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir attended the meeting. Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar was also present.
An official release said, the Prime Minister asked the MPs to ensure that senior citizens get the benefits of social security schemes. He also said, Goods and Services Tax is getting unprecedented support and acceptance across the country and that small businessmen should register themselves under GST.
The BJP MPs said, public confidence in the government is constantly increasing in the context of various aspects of the development taking place in the states. They said, there is enthusiasm regarding GST among small traders and the general public
