اPresident Smt Droupadi Murmu today addressed the students and faculty of Keshav Memorial Education Society in Hyderabad as part of her 5 day winter sojourn.
She emphasised on developing communication skills by students and inculcating a reading habit. Referring to Hyderabad a technological hub, she asked students to utilise resources of the city to expand their knowledge and their development. She also observed that the new education system promotes creative attitude in the youth which is needed.
The President also interacted with few students at the event. She emphasised on value education, satisfactory lifestyle and protecting the cultural roots and heritage. Stating that Indian constitution is one among the best in the world, she implored to also have a personal constitution for self and family which is rooted in value system and cultural heritage. On unhealthy competition in society, the President advised the students to develop satisfaction as a personal quality as competition will never be ending.
She emphasised on women’s education and called upon the parents and society in general to promote girl education and help deliver women empowerment.
The President also paid floral tributes to the statue of Sardar Vallabhai Patel and Justice Koratkar at the campus. She inaugurated a photo exhibition on Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Telangana Governor Dr Smt Tamilisai Soundararajan and Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy were also present at the occasion.
