Hyderabad, President Ram Nath Kovind today arrived here in a special IAF flight for his winter stay of four days as part of his southern sojourn.
The President was accorded a warm welcome at the Hakimpet Airport by Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and others. Accompanied by his wife Savitha Kovind, the President drove to the Rashtrapathi Nilayam in Bolarum, Secunderabad where he will stay till December 27.
The Governor arranged a dinner for the President couple at Raj Bhavan on Sunday night. Besides Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, his cabinet colleagues and officials, AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is expected to attend the dinner being hosted by the Governor.
The President will host “At Home” for the Governor and Chief Minister at Rashtrapathi Bhavan in Bollaram on December 26. Deputy Chief Ministers Mahamood Ali, Kadiam Srihari, Council Chairman Swamy Goud, Speaker S Madhusudana Chary, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy, Ministers G Jagadish Reddy, Mahender Reddy, Rajya Sabha member and TRS secretary-general K Keshava Rao, Chief Secretary SP Singh, DGP Mahender Reddy and others will be present.
