Hyderabad;June 9-(PMI)Telugu Association of North America (TANA), the largest Telugu organization out side Telugu States with over 40000 life members has been carrying out several support activities in Telugu States for the last 40 years more so for the last 18 months in Corona crisis. In Corona Wave 2 situation also, TANA has been distributing nearly 600 Oxygen Concentrators in the last 4 weeks to Hospitals, Covid Care Centers through several Gpvt and Private Agencies and NGOs.
Rotary Club of Hyderabad East(RCHE), an active 35 year old club in Rotary Dist 3150 is also carrying out several Community service projects like construction of Schools, installing RO Plants etc. Just 10days back, on 29 May 2021, RCHE along with ASHA JYOTHY, presented 7 Oxy Concentrators to Railway Hospital, Sec’bad.
Today, 9 June 2021, TANA and RCHE together are presenting 6 Oxy Concentrators to Telangana State Police as recognition and appreciation of their services as warriors fighting against Covid. Sri VC Sajjanar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad has consented to be the Chief Guest for the brief function in CP’s Office for presenting the 6 Oxy Concentrators.
Si VC Sajjanar, IPS, Commissioner of Police , Cyberabad congratulated Police for their services and be part of World’s largest and biggest vaccine drive with 40000 vaccinations at one place in a day two days ago.. He congratulated the public for cooperating with Police and helping them implementing the curfew with out any law and order issues. He expressed confidence that Corona wave 2 will soon be controlled completely. He appreciated TANA and thanked its President Mr Jay Talluri for supporting Telugu States in this pandemic time and Rotary Club of Hyderabad East for selecting TS Police and giving Oxy Concentrators. He expressed confidence that Rotary Club of Hyderabad East and TANA would do more activities in future.
Sri Srinath Kurra, TANA Trustee India congratulated the services of TS Police in effectively implementing the curfew which controlled the covid 2 wave substantially. He appreciated the efforts of TANA Leadership in USA and Donors who came forward donating for Oxy Concentrators, Masks, Sanitizers, Medicines etc to Telugu States.
Rotarian Y V Giri, President, Rotary Club of Hyderabad East said that Govt of India has recognized Rotary and asked its support in executing Covid vaccine in the country as Rotary has been working on eradicating Polio completely in India. He appreciated the Police dept for their sincere and round the clock work.
Rotarian CV Subba Row, Project Coordinator thanked TANA Leadership and Mr Jay Talluri, President, TANA who agreed to give away 5 Concentrators to Rotary Club of Hyderabad East and Rtn Pankaj Diwan who also agreed to donate another Oxy Concentrator through his friend from USA and to participate in this noble activity,
