Karimnagar, Lashing out at the TRS MPs for stating that the center has to clear Muslim reservations issue, former MP Ponnam Prabhakar questioned them to explain as to why they didn’t pull the center for the last three years if they have real sincerity towards Muslim reservations issue.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Ponnam alleged that the TRS was playing a role in the drama directed by the BJP. The centre was enacting this drama to escape from the no-confidence motion introduced by the TDP, he pointed out. Stating that the TRS government passed a resolution on Muslim reservations in the Assembly three years ago and remained silently all these years listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that the reservation should not cross 50 percent, Ponnam said that the TRS MPs were now suddenly raising the reservations issue since commencement of this session and obstructing the no-confidence motion, while showing it as a reason.
The TRS attitude was similar to ‘mother will not serve and will not allow to beg” manner and TRS was not speaking about the division assurances to Telangana state. The TRS party was obstructing no-confidence motion introduced by the TDP while entering into secret pact with the centre, in the name of reservations though almost all opposition parties were extending their support to the Andhra Pradesh state.
