Hyderabad, Sept. 1(Najaf Ali Shoukat-PMI): In view of the upcoming Ganesh immersion on September 6, the Charminar Division police held a coordination meeting with Ganesh organisers at Palki Garden, Hussainialam, on Monday.
The meeting, chaired by ACP Charminar P. Chandrashekar, along with SHOs of Charminar, Hussainialam, and Kamatipura police stations, focused on idol registration, immersion routes, traffic management, safety precautions, and the ban on DJ systems. Police officials appealed to organisers to start processions early in the morning to avoid congestion and ensure smooth immersion.
Community leaders, including Sri Pawan Misra (Bhagya Nagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi), Sri Uma Mahender (BJP Golkonda District President), Sri Jitender (Jittu) from Charminar, and Sri Nithish Agarwal, assured full cooperation in maintaining discipline and harmony during the celebrations.
Addressing the gathering, DCP Smt. Sneha Mehra, IPS, said the Ganesh festival is a symbol of faith and unity. She urged organisers to celebrate with devotion while ensuring public safety. The DCP also outlined extensive bandobast arrangements, traffic measures, and deployment of local police and paramilitary forces for the immersion.
Authorities advised all organisers to commence idol processions early on Anant Chaturdashi day and complete immersion in a timely and orderly manner.(pressmediaofindia.com)
