Police Issue Safety Guidelines for Firecracker Vendors Ahead of Diwali;Vaibhav Raghunath, IPS,

 Hyderabad’Oct 17 (PMI) Ahead of Diwali, SP Nagerkurnool Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, IPS, has issued strict safety guidelines for firecracker vendors to ensure a secure celebration.

Vendors are required to obtain permission from the Fire Department, Tehsildar, and local police station before setting up their shops. Shops should be located in spacious areas with water and sand readily available to handle any emergencies.

Authorities have advised against setting up stalls in crowded locations, high-traffic areas, near petrol pumps, or under electric wires. Old or damaged wiring must not be used, and generators should be kept 15–20 meters away from the shop. Only individuals above 18 years of age are permitted to work in firecracker shops.

The District SP emphasized that both vendors and consumers should strictly follow these safety measures to celebrate Diwali in a safe and joyful environment. (pressmediaofindia.com)
