• Hyderabad; May 17 (Najaf Ali  Shoukat-PMI) : As part of curbing road accidents, Tri Police Commissionerate Police is making Drunk and Drive (DD) stricter. A series of accidents are happening in the suburbs. In this background, the police, who are analyzing the causes of the accidents, have identified over speed, drunk and driving, wrong side driving and triple riding as the reasons. With this, the police kept vigil on drunk and driving and other violations. In this order, after midnight, road accidents are happening more in the suburbs. It is mainly due to drunk driving and careless driving.

  Police are conducting special drives to crack down on these violations. In order to reduce road accident deaths, traffic police identify black spots and analyze the causes of accidents there. GHMC is coordinating with other departments and solving any problems due to roads. 99.9 percent of road accidents are due to human error. To overcome these, everyone has to follow the traffic rules. However, both alcohol and speed are killing motorists at night. The traffic police are conducting checks to keep an eye on the speed of vehicles to prevent such accidents from happening.

  With heavy vehicles..

  Heavy vehicles are allowed to enter the city after 10 pm. But they are entering the city at 9 o’clock. The city traffic police conducted a special drive on these last month. But when the drive was conducted, the heavy vehicles hit the roads only after 10 hours. After completing the drive, they enter the city again during rush hours.

  Crackdown on violations

  The police of Tri Police Commissionerates are cracking down on those who drink and drive. On the one hand, awareness is being created not to drink and drive, and cases are being registered against those who violate the rules. Those caught are being counseled and produced in court. Courts are giving them prison sentences. Along with that, driving licenses are also being cancelled.
