    • Hyderabad’, October 10 (PMI): With the implementation of the Election Code, the police are maintaining tight security in Tri Police Commissionerates. As part of this, vehicle inspections are conducted every day. The Central Election Commission announced the election schedule on Monday. In this background, huge amount of cash, gold and silver was seized during the inspections conducted on Monday. Similarly, on Tuesday, cash, gold and silver jewelery were seized. These inspections continued in Hyderabad, Rachakonda and Cyberabad Commissionerates. The police are carrying out extensive checks in the suburbs as well as in the main areas of the city. A large-scale Hawala rocket cluster was discovered in Banjara Hills under the surveillance of the Hyderabad Task Force Police. Undocumented money carried in the car at one place Rs. 3.35 crore was seized. Besides Banjarahills, Secunderabad, Shankarpally, Ibrahimpatnam, Abids, Mehidipatnam, Searches continued in Dilsukhnagar, Begumpet, Ameerpet, Kukatpally, Gachibowli and other areas. Police Commissioners CV Anand, DS Chauhan and Stephen Ravindra are monitoring these daily searches along with Election Management Officers.

    Mehdipatnam: A cash of Rs.6 lakh was caught in Mehdipatnam’s Meraj square under Asifnagar police station. DCP Kiran Khare Prabhakar warned that action will be taken if election rules are violated.

    Chadarghat: While checking on the Malakpet fire station road, the Chadarghat police seized around Rs. 2.30 lakhs being smuggled.

    Begumpet: During the inspections conducted by the Mahankali police, they seized Rs.32.50 lakh cash, 706 grams of gold and 3.4 kg of silver without any evidence or receipts. Inspector Parashuram said that these have been handed over to the IT department.

    Sameerpet: Police conducted vehicle checks at the inter-district check post set up at Lingapur under Sameerpet police station.. Rs 89,500 was seized.

    Peerjadiguda: Malkajigiri SWOT police and Medipalli police conducted vehicle checks near IVOCL gas godown of Chengichharla under Medipalli police station on Tuesday. A person from Secunderabad in a car for Rs. 6,01,940 was caught moving.

    Golnaka: The Amberpet police seized Rs.2.25 lakh from a person who was riding a bike through the Vishal Mart check post on the Amberpet main road.

    Khairatabad: On Tuesday,
    the police recovered Rs. Five lakh cash was seized.

    Vengalaraonagar: During the checks conducted by SR Nagar police on Tuesday afternoon, Rs. 15 lakhs was seized.

    Kavadiguda: Domalaguda police conducted checks at Narayanguda Y Junction on Tuesday night and recovered Rs. Six lakhs were seized.(Press media of india)
