PM Modi: Crown gifted by Modi stolen in Bangladesh

New Delhi’ 11 oct’24 (PMI) It is known that Prime Minister Modi presented the crown to Mother Kali during his visit to Bangladesh. But the crown was taken away. Prime Minister Modi presented the crown to Goddess Kalika at the Jeshoreshwari temple in Satkira. He presented a silver crown gilded with gold. It seems that the theft took place in the temple between 2 pm and 2.30 pm on Thursday. The robbery took place after priest Dilip Mukherjee left the temple.

The staff working in the temple noticed that the crown which should be on the head of Kalikadevi was not visible. Inspector Taizul Islam said that they are examining the CCTV cameras in the temple to catch the thief. Jeshoreshwari Devi Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Prime Minister Modi presented the crown during his visit to Bangladesh in March 2021. Modi himself decorated the crown on Amma’s head.

The temple is located at Iswaripur in Satkira. A Brahmin named Anari built the temple in the 12th century. After that in the 13th century Lakshman Sen temple was rebuilt. Again in the 16th century, Raja Pratapadhitya redeveloped the temple. During his visit, Modi mentioned that a community hall will be constructed at the temple.(pressmediaofindia.com)
