Prime Minister Narendra Modi today lauded the remarkable feat of the country of administering 100 crore vaccine doses. He said 100 crore vaccinations are not just a figure, but a reflection of the strength of the country. Mr Modi was addressing the nation this morning on achieving the milestone of 100 crore vaccine doses.
The Prime Minister said, it is a matter of pride for everyone that the entire vaccination programme of India has been Science-Born, Science-Driven and Science-Based.
Mr Modi said, despite reaching the one billion landmark, India’s fight against COVID-19 is still not over. Requesting all to celebrate the upcoming festivals with utmost caution, the Prime Minister said, everyone has to ensure COVID Appropriate Behaviour, wear masks and ensure social distancing.
The Prime Minister said, the research and development of vaccines has always been dependent upon developed nations, but when the worst pandemic of the last hundred years came, India’s vaccine campaign became a living example of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.
