Medak District SP Udaykumar Reddy said in a statement on Saturday that firecracker shopkeepers must take permission from the concerned divisional level police officers.

Medak Urban, October 27 (PMI): On the occasion of Diwali festival, firecracker shopkeepers must take permission from the concerned divisional level police officers, Medak District SP Udaykumar Reddy said in a statement on Saturday. He said that strict action will be taken against them as per Explosives Act 1884 and Rules 1933 Amendment 2008 if they set up pottery shops without permission.

The SP stated that the cookware shops should be set up in the respective vacant places and the NOC certificate of the vacant place should be attached. It has been suggested that there should not be more than 50 shops in a cluster and no pottery shops should be set up in crowded places. The SP said that only those who have completed 18 years of age should work in the shops and they should be set up at a distance of 5 km from Go Dam village.(PMI)
