Hyderabad, Nov.18 (PMI): As part of the ongoing drive against habitual offenders, who disturb public order, M. Stephen Raveendra, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, has invoked PD Act against two notorious offenders identified as Mohd Mujahid alias Mujju and Mohammed Jeelani Pasha an “Arms Offender” and detained them in Central Prison, Cherlapalli, Medchal-Malkajgiri district to prevent them from indulging in criminal activities.
The accused are notorious offenders and residents of Dundigal and Yousufguda respectively. They had shot dead one Ismail, a realtor hailing from Nawabkunta, Hyderabad brutally with firearms on a road abuzz with public movement in the heart of Cyberabad City over a dispute in real estate business. The accused had procured a dagger from Gulbarga and pistols with live rounds from Bihar to kill the deceased. They were arrested by Madhapur Police in the first week of August and lodged in jail.
Previously, the A1 was sentenced to life imprisonment in a murder case and served 11 years in jail and was released. Later, he along with A2 were involved in an attempt to murder in the limits of Dundigal police station in 2020 and were lodged in jail. (press media of india)
