Hyderabad, Sept 9′(PMI) The Hyderabad City Police, in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), deported a Pakistani national, Muhammad Usman alias Md Abbas Ikram (48 years), through the Attari Border in Punjab on Tuesday.
Entered India Illegally in 2011
According to police, Usman illegally entered India via Nepal in 2011. He was subsequently involved in four criminal cases in Hyderabad and was sentenced to imprisonment ranging from one month to five years.
Sent to Detention Centre Before Deportation
After completing all legal proceedings, Usman was lodged in the Detention Centre at CCS, Hyderabad on September 7, 2024. Following due process, he was handed over to the Pakistan Rangers on September 9, 2025.
Detention Centre Track Record
The Detention Centre, CCS Hyderabad, established on August 29, 2018, has so far housed 158 detainees from 19 countries, out of which 150 have been deported.
Recently, on August 12, 2025, 20 Bangladeshi nationals involved in illegal stay and human trafficking were also deported through the Indo-Bangladesh border.(pressmediaofindia.com)
