Hyderabad, May 19 (PMI): Indian Railways continues to bring Liquid Medical Oxygen to the State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to provide relief by meeting the Oxygen needs of both the Telugu States. Today, Oxygen Express trans have reached both the States. The Eighth Oxygen Express reached to Sanath Nagar in Telangana loaded with 6 tankers filled with 87.85 tonnes of LMO . The train was loaded from Angul in Odisha.
Similarly, the Krishnapatnam Port of Andhra Pradesh has received two Oxygen Express trains today. While , the third Oxygen Express loaded with 2 Continer tankers filled with 35.62 LMO arrived from Rourkela, the Fourth Oxygen Express brought 74.66 tonnes of LMO in 4 tankers from Rourkela as well. Continuing this momentum, the fifth Oxygen Express to Guntur in Andhra Pradesh loaded with 4 tankers and filled with 65 tonnes of LMO is also Enroute from Kanalus in Gujarat, overcoming the heavy cyclonic conditions in the State.
While Indian Railways operating these Oxygen Express trains along the Green Corridors, all these trains have running with minimal Enroute detentions. Adequate precautions are being taken so as to ensure that the Cryogenic cargo is safety transported across various states. Simultaneously, both the movement of the train along with the supporting infrastructure is being monitored closely so as to ensure that the Oxygen Express trains reach their destination States at the least possible duration.
Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, SCR has assured that the Railways is taking all necessary steps to ensure that the Oxygen Express trains reaches in the fastest possible time. H said that the movement of these trains is being given the highest sense of urgency, with multi-disciplinary teams working round the clock to ensure speedy delivery. He also appreciated the staff and officers for the coordination and liaison being maintained with the state governments of both originating and destination stations for expediting the supply of Oxygen by these trains.
