Over 160 Injured in Iranian Strikes Near Israeli Nuclear Facility: Officials

Jerusalem: March 22 (Agencies) More than 160 people were injured on Saturday in Iranian missile strikes near a sensitive nuclear facility in Israel, according to emergency services officials.

Authorities said the attacks targeted areas in Arad and Dimona. At least 84 people were wounded in Arad, while 78 others sustained injuries in Dimona. Both towns are located close to a key Israeli nuclear installation.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated that it has received no reports indicating damage to the nuclear research facility.

Dimona, the site associated with Israel’s nuclear program, lies approximately 13 kilometers from the area hit in the strikes.

According to Iranian state television, the missile attacks were carried out in response to an alleged Israeli strike on Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility earlier the same day.

The incident marks a significant escalation in tensions between Iran and Israel, raising concerns about further instability in the region.
