Our Goal: An India Free from Drugs and Terrorism, Says MRM Chief Indresh Kumar

New Delhi, 27 Sept (Najaf Ali Shoukat-PMI)  The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), an organization dedicated to national unity, communal harmony, and social cohesion, has declared its commitment to making India free from drugs and terrorism. Over its 24-year journey, MRM has played a crucial role in bridging gaps between Hindus and Muslims and fostering mutual understanding.

The organization’s landmark All India Muslim Maha Sammelan was held at Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, bringing together thousands of activists, scholars, educators, and social leaders from across the country. The conference aimed to empower the Muslim community in education, development, and culture, enabling them to stand on equal footing with fellow citizens.

MRM Chief Indresh Kumar said in his keynote address that terrorism is “evil” and has no religion, caste, or color. He described drugs and terrorism as a dual threat to India’s moral and social fabric and called for their elimination. His declaration, “We were, we are, and will always remain Indian,” was met with thunderous applause.

He also recalled MRM’s historic role in the annulment of triple talaq, which restored the dignity of Muslim women, and emphasized that education, culture, and development are the pillars of a strong India. Kumar warned against the growing issue of illegal immigrants, noting that if they take over jobs and resources, the future and employment opportunities for Indian Muslims could be compromised.

Dr. Shahid Akhtar, Acting Chairman of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, urged Muslims to become nation-builders rather than spectators. He announced that MRM will soon establish peace centers, skill development programs, scholarships, and career guidance cells to provide better opportunities for youth.

National Convener Mohammad Afzal highlighted MRM’s journey, noting that the organization started with just two rooms and 110 members and has now grown to a movement of over ten thousand participants.

Dr. Shalini Ali, head of MRM’s women’s wing, said Muslim women will now not only benefit from reforms but also take on leadership roles. Over the past 25 years, MRM has played a pivotal role in major initiatives, including the abolition of triple talaq, the construction of the Ram Mandir, the repeal of Articles 370 and 35A, the ban on PFI, the Waqf reforms, Tiranga Yatras, and anti-terror campaigns.

The conference concluded with a pledge to continue campaigns in education, employment, women’s empowerment, anti-drug initiatives, and national unity. The event marked a historic turning point toward a united and progressive India, guided by the principle: “Bharat First, India First, Indians Best.”

The conference was also attended by MRM national convener Ilyas Ahmed (in charge, Karnataka), Mohammad Abbas (Bangalore), Najaf Ali Shoukat (Telangana convener), Syed Sarwar Hussain’Asim Advocate (Hyderabad), along with MRM workers from South India. (Press Media of India)
