Oppn leaders ask Singareni workers to “teach a lesson” to CM

Hyderabad, Telangana Opposition leaders today called upon people to “teach a lesson” to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who was not protecting the self-respect of people of the State.

All party leaders were addressing a meeting at Srirampur in Nannur mandal of Mancherial district a day before Singareni Collieries employees union elections. Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy and Congress working president Bhatti Vikramarka said the Chief Minister was trying to deceive the mine workers by doling out sops keeping in view of union elections. They also questioned as to why the Chief Minister was not providing compassionate employment to Singareni workers while sharing political power with his family members. They also alleged that the ruling party was distributing Rs 150 crore commission collected in buying Bathukamma saries in Singareni elections.

Revanth Reddy said KCR, who never paid tributes to martyrs, who sacrificed for Telangana State, visited Anantapur and paid floral tributes to Paritala Ravi. It is an affront to Telangana martyrs, he fumed. Former MLC Premsagar Rao, former MLA Gaddam Arvind Reddy, AITUC president Narasimhan, general secretary Vasireddy Sitharamaiah, INTUC general secretary Janak Prasad and others participated in the meeting.
