Congress is main villain of Telangana: CM KCR

Hyderabad, Nov.15 (INS): BRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao alleged that the Congress party was the main villain of Telangana since then till today.

Addressing the Praja Ashirwada Sabha at Bodhan in Nizamabad district here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that the Congress party never worked for the interests of Telangana people and it was the main villain of Telangana State for obstructing the growth of Telangana.

He reminded that Telangana was merged into Andhra Pradesh against the wishes of the people and the Telangana  people had to fight for 58 years for that small mistake.

“Due to the Congress party, 400 people were killed in 1969. Similarly, in the 2004 election, the BRS party had forged an alliance with Congress which promised to grant the Telangana State. However, the Congress party, after the election, had changed it’s stance and caused the deaths of many people. Moreover, the Congress tried to split the BRS party and buy its MLAs. Telangana was granted by the Congress government after hundreds of people died and relentless fight of BRS party for 15 years,” KCR pointed out.

He said that Nizamabad district had regained its former glory after the formation of Telangana State under the tenure of BRS government and with the construction of Kaleswaram project, the Nizama Sagar project was filled with water for 365 days.

The Chief Minister further said the Singur project water has been blocked to Hyderabad and it’s water has been allocated for irrigation needs while Hyderabad is facilitated with Godavari water.

Later,the Chief Minister addressed three  meetings at Nizamabad Urban, Yellareddy and Medak Assembly constituencies where he said that both BJP and Congress parties would not useful for Telangana State and the regional parties would play a key role in the days to come and they would form a coalition government at the Centre after 2024 Parliament elections.
