infants were undergoing treatment in the Niloufer hospital and the condition of
three of the kids was stated to be critical.
According to the information, some 90 children were administered
vaccination at the health center managed by the State government. Many parents
queued up at UHC on Thursday to get their children vaccinated. Soon after
taking the vaccination, the children developed health complications following
which the doctors rushed them to Niloufer Hospital in Nampally for treatment.
As a precautionary measure, the police beefed up security in front of the
Niloufer Hospital.
It may be mentioned here that all the babies were between three and five
months. On receipt of the information, the GHMC Zonal Commissioner enquired
about the condition of the infants. On the other hands, a medical officers’
committee was inquiring whether the incident happened due to negligence of the
medical staff or due to prescription of wrong medicines. Responding to the
pathetic incident, Health Minister Eatala Rajendar called up the Niloufer
doctors and asked them to provide best treatment. After hearing the tragic
news, the minister left for Hyderabad from Huzurabad. (PMI)Hyderabad, March 7 (PMI): One fine-month-old infant
