One held for cheating job aspirants in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: An overseas consultant who allegedly cheated several job aspirants after collecting money from them was arrested by the Abid Road police. The police seized five passports, two mobile phones and a tab from him.

According to the police, the arrested person Abdul Wahab Zaki (27) of Talent Career Group Domestic and Overseas Consultancy Services located at Hyderguda in Basheerbagh and a resident of Edi Bazaar along with Mohammed Abdul Muqeet, Sajid Khan, Islamuddin Ansari and Sanju duped several persons on pretext of sending them to Dubai

“Zaki collected between Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 80,000 from around 70 persons in the guise of sending them to Dubai to work at Dubai Expo at a high salary. However, he duped them after sending a few of the victims to Dubai,” said Abid Road police station Inspector, B Prasad Rao.

When the victims contacted from Dubai, Zaki and his associates threatened them and asked them to obtain loans from some financial institutions in Dubai by furnishing false documents. Nevertheless, the victims returned to India and made a complaint, said the inspector.

Efforts are on to nab the remaining persons who are absconding.
