Old City: Hameed Bin Mohammed. Brutally Murdered in Yakutpura, Police hunting for attackers

Hyderabad-Dec 03 (PMI) A 25-year-old man was brutally murdered in a shocking attack at Rein Bazaar in the Yakutpura area on Wednesday late evening, sending shockwaves across the locality and raising serious concerns over public safety. The deceased has been identified as Hameed Bin Mohammed.

According to eyewitnesses and preliminary police reports, Hameed was riding his motorcycle when he was allegedly intercepted by two persons identified as Ali Jabri and Omar Jabri. The attackers reportedly stopped him on the road and launched a violent assault using lethal weapons. Several bystanders who witnessed the incident stated that the attack was sudden and extremely brutal, giving the victim little chance to escape.

Hameed sustained critical injuries in the assault and collapsed at the spot. He was immediately shifted by locals and emergency responders to Yashoda Hospital, Malakpet, where doctors made every effort to save him. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he succumbed during treatment.

Following the confirmation of death, the body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital (OGH) mortuary for postmortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death and to collect forensic evidence. Police have registered a case of murder and initiated a detailed investigation.

In view of the tense situation after the killing, the police have deployed heavy security forces across Yakutpura and the surrounding areas as a precautionary measure to prevent any possible law and order disturbances. Additional patrol teams have been pressed into service, and sensitive points are being closely monitored.

Senior officials from the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force and local police units are jointly leading the investigation. Special teams have been formed to trace and arrest the accused, who are currently absconding. Police officials have stated that all possible angles, including personal enmity and previous disputes, are being thoroughly examined.

The incident has triggered panic and anger among residents of the area, who have demanded swift justice and strict action against those responsible. Authorities have assured that the accused will be apprehended at the earliest and brought to justice. (pressmediaofindia.com)
