Hyderabad, April 18 ( PMI): District Election Officer Ronald Rose has ordered the nodal officers appointed in the Hyderabad district to carry out their respective duties with full understanding and responsibility in the Lok Sabha elections.
Ronald Rose held a meeting with media certification and monitoring, model code of conduct, expenditure monitoring, man power, material management, PWD, other nodal officers at GHMC headquarters here on Thursday and discussed about steps to be taken for the smooth conduct of elections.
The District Election Officer asked the officials that the postal ballot printing should be done carefully and all the employees who have got approval of Form-12 can use the postal ballot.
“All the staff who are engaged in the election duty should make arrangements so that they can exercise their right to vote with postal ballot. Separate lanes should be set up for postal ballot,” he said.
“In order to increase the voter turnout in the district, the officials should conduct a large-scale campaign and should involve the people in the programmes. The complaints received in “C” whistle should always be resolved within the stipulated time,” Ronald Rose said.
During the meeting, the concerned nodal officers were advised to prepare for the second round of training for the election staff. The Nodel officers should also send a letter to the HODs of the respective departments that there is no exemption from the election duties for the employees.
Ronald Rose also suggested the authorities concerned to conduct a large-scale campaign to increase the voter turnout by taking up awareness programmes so that every single voter casts his vote.(PMI)
