Hyderabad, Sept.22 (PMI): MA&UD Minister K Tarakarama Rao today announced that those with more than two children can contest in the upcoming municipal elections. There is no bar for the leaders with over two children to contest elections for municipalities and corporations in the State.
Speaking in the legislative Council, KTR said people can build houses in their own 75 Sft plot without taking permission in the municipalities. He said he would review functioning and developmental works in the municipalities and corporations once three months. Referring to the 
norms on construction of houses, KTR said those with 75 sft land can construct their house without obtaining permission. If anyone acted against the new rule, serious action will be taken, he warned. Those who want to build a house in 76 Sft to 600 Sft have to obtain building permission online, he said. He also said the authorities concerned will give permission for such houses in 21 days. The people have to complete the construction works in three years, he said.
KTR also cautioned that permission will be cancelled if the house building works do not start within six months after taking permission. He also said LRS method will be implemented in the newly started municipalities. Referring to places of worship like temples and mosques on the roads, the minister said they will be transplanted if political parties agree to it, he added.
