New Delhi ’20 May ‘2023(PMI):Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has progressed at a rapid pace in every field in the last nine years. Mr. Goyal was interacting with the media in Jaipur today on the occasion of the completion of nine years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government. He said that after 30 years, the people formed a full-majority Government, because of which rapid progress took place, the economy strengthened and good governance was established. He said that the Government has worked without any discrimination keeping in mind the welfare of 140 crore citizens of the country. Mr. Goyal assured that the Government will work with more speed in times ahead.
Earlier, Member of Parliament Poonam Mahajan briefed about the changes and development works in the country in the last nine years through a PowerPoint presentation. She said that the country has become the fifth-largest economy in the world. During the COVID period, the world’s largest vaccination campaign was conducted in the country. Tap water supply has been extended to 12 crore houses, free gas connections were provided to more than nine crore families and so far 3.5 crore houses have been sanctioned, added Ms. Mahajan. She said that historic work has been carried out in terms of ensuring and strengthening rail, road and air connectivity in the country.(PMI)
