NDA Will Return to Power in 2029, Says Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu 

Naidu asserted that all works taken up in Amaravati would be completed in the next three years, including infrastructure projects worth Rs 50,000 crore.

Amaravati, Sept 12 (PMI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday asserted that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would return to power at the Centre for a fourth consecutive term in 2029, describing it as vital for the nation’s future.

Addressing a conclave, Naidu lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for steering India from the 11th largest economy to the fourth largest in just 11 years. “Narendra Modi has been winning for the past 11 years. The fourth election also write it, NDA will come again. There is no doubt about it,” he said.

The Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to the development of the greenfield capital Amaravati, announcing that all infrastructure projects worth ₹50,000 crore would be completed within three years. He added that Prime Minister Modi would inaugurate the city by 2028. “Every work started in Amaravati will be completed in the next three years. The Prime Minister will come again to inaugurate it and dedicate it to the nation,” Naidu said.

Naidu revealed that leading global universities such as Tokyo University and Stanford University were being engaged to set up campuses in Amaravati. He further disclosed that a quantum computer would arrive in the capital by January 2026, laying the foundation for a knowledge-driven economy.

Assuring farmers who gave land for the capital project, he emphasised that sufficient land was crucial to attract international companies and top-class educational institutions. He also confirmed that the Polavaram irrigation project would be completed by 2027.

Unveiling his government’s long-term roadmap, the Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh was implementing the “SwarnaAndhra-2047 – 2047” vision in alignment with Prime Minister Modi’s “Viksit Bharat–2047” programme. He projected that the state’s Gross State Domestic Product would reach ₹29.2 lakh crore by 2028-29 and ₹57.2 lakh crore by 2033-34, while per capita income was expected to more than double in the same period.

Naidu expressed confidence that India would become the world’s largest economy by 2038, with Telugu people playing a key role in that journey. He described India as a nation of “stability” at a time when several countries were grappling with crises. (pressmediaofindia.com)
