Nation celebrates Constitution Day tomorrow; PM Modi to launch various initiatives under e-court project

New Delhi’Nov’25’2022-Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Constitution Day celebrations in the Supreme Court tomorrow at 10 AM. During the programme, the Prime Minister will launch various new initiatives under the e-court project. The project is an effort to provide services to litigants, lawyers and the judiciary through information and communication technology. The initiatives being launched by the Prime Minister include Virtual Justice Clock, JustIS mobile App 2.0, Digital court, and S3WaaS Websites.
Virtual Justice Clock will make the functioning of the courts accountable and transparent by sharing with the public the status of case disposals by the court. The public can access the Virtual Justice Clock of any court on the District Court’s website. Through JustIS Mobile App 2.0, judges of the High Court and Supreme Court can now monitor the case pendency and its disposal. The digital court is an initiative to make court records available to the judge in digitized form. The S3WaaS website is a framework to generate, configure, deploy and manage websites for publishing specified information and services related to district judiciary.

On the eve of Constitution Day, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi vartully launched the portals for Online reading of Preamble and Quiz on the Constitution of India in the run up to celebration of Constitution Day tomorrow. The portal provides the facility to read Preamble to the Constitution in 22 Official Languages and English. The countryman can visit on www.readpreamble.nic.in for read Preamble to the Constitution and for the quiz can visit on www.constitutionquiz.nic.in.

On the occasion, Mr. Joshi paid a rich tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar for his peerless contribution in the making of the country’s Constitution. He urged to make it a public campaign and to ensure Jan Bhagidari.

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs said that the quiz portal has very simple and basic questions on Indian Constitution and its Democracy wherein anyone can participate and get a participation certificate. The purpose of the quiz is to popularise the basic values and ethos of the Indian constitution and not to test their knowledge.It said, the quiz would be in Hindi and English languages so that more and more people can participate.

Our correspondent reports that the Constitution Day is celebrated every year on 26th November to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to honour and acknowledge the contribution of Founding Fathers of the Constitution. This year also, the Constitution Day is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across nations including in all Central Government Ministries and Departments. Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs as an active participant in this national programme, while Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is the Nodal agency for these celebrations.
