NALGONDA’ 6 July (PMI) The Nalgonda District Police have arrested two members of the notorious Pardhi gang. This Pardhi gang has been involved in multiple robberies and thefts across highways and suburban areas, with operations spanning Nalgonda district, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda Commissionerate. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Superintendent of Police Sarath Chandra Pawar said that two members of Pardhi gang were arrested at Amberpet on Friday. The police are currently searching for three more fugitives associated with the gang. During the arrest, police officers were compelled to fire in the air as the gang members attacked them in an attempt to evade capture.
The police recovered a screwdriver, two pairs of scissors, Rs 17,000 in cash, silver bracelets, and a torchlight from the accused. Sharad Chandra Pawar disclosed that the gang has 32 cases registered against them across Telangana. The Pardhi gang is notorious for its violent activities, including the murder of a lorry driver for money in Kattangur. Originally from Maharashtra, the gang is known for targeted robberies and thefts and does not maintain permanent shelter; instead, it focuses on continuous exploits.
