Naidu slams govt

Amaravati, May 25 (PMI): The National President of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the opposition leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu today came down heavily on the ruling YSRCP and alleged that the state government was filling false cases against his party leaders. He also alleged that it had become habit of the state government to harass the TDP leaders.

He made these remarks during a teleconference with the party leaders from Kurnool district in the wake of the arrest of Banaganapalle former MLA BC Janardhan Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion he alleged that the ruling party leaders who came to ransack the house of Janardhan Reddy , filed a false case against him. He wondered if the police were there to protect real criminals? He made it clear that they would fight against all the false cases legally. He criticized that the ruling party was giving importance to carry out political attacks instead of taking steps to protect the lives of those people who are losing their lives due to Covid virus and black fungus in Kurnool district .

Stating that the police had arrested eight TDP leaders on Sunday, Naidu said that six of the arrested leaders were not produced before a local magistrate so far. He said that they would even to Supreme Court to get justice to their party’s former MLA Janardhan Reddy if required.

He called upon the party leaders to Hold virtual protest programs against the atrocities of the ruling YSRCP.

Naidu writes letter to DGO

On the other hand, Naidu write. A letter to the DGP of the state Gautam Sawang on the issue of the arrest of Janardhan Reddy. In his letter , he told the DGP that the police had booked illegal cases again Janardhan Reddy and his supporters. He claimed that the complainant and his supporters went to the house of Reddy to attack him and his supporters. (PMI)
