Nabbed 01 Person – Who Is Illegally Selling Psychotropic Drugs 

Hyderabad; 05 Nov 2023 ( PMI ): The sleuths of Habeebnagar Police apprehended one person  who is  illegally selling Psychotropic Drugs (Nitravet 10Mg tablets) without any valid licence and seized 3420 No.s of  Nitravet 10Mg Tablets in Cr.No: 310/2023 U/s 8 (c), 22 (c) of NDPS Act, Sec 27 of D& C  Act, Sec 336 r/w 34 IPC Of PS Habeebnagar.

Details of accused:-

1) Nade Chakradhari S/o N Prakash, aged: 40 years, Occ.: Tablet (Nitravet 10 mg) Business, H.No.: 11-1-1165/4, Mallapally, Afzal Sagar, Hyderabad.

Modus Operandi:-

Deputy Commissioner of Police, South west Zone Sri. B. Balaswamy, IPS Investigations have revealed that Nade Chakradhari, previously involved in pickpocketing cases and arrested by the RGIA Shashabad and Gopalapuram Police Stations, Hyderabad, later discovered the demand for sleeping pills, specifically Nitravet 10 mg tablets, and other intoxicating cough syrups among young individuals suffering from insomnia and seeking a sense of intoxication. He obtained a significant quantity of these tablets from Gulbarga, Karnataka and sold them, along with Codeine Phosphate & Chlorpheniramine Maleate Syrup, to those in need. His sister, Naina, was involved in this illegal trade as well. The tablets and syrup were sourced from Gulbarga, Karnataka.

On 04.11.2023, the Habeebnagar Police apprehended Nade Chakradhari along with the Nitravet Tablets and Eskuff syrup.

Seizure:

The police seized 3420 Nitravet 10Mg tablets, 22 bottles of Codeine Phosphate & Chlorpheniramine  Maleate Syrup with the brand name ESKUF,  a Vivo mobile phone, and a net cash amount of 16,780/- from the possession of the accused. It is important to note that Nitravet 10 mg tablets are hypnotic and sedative, primarily used for severe sleep disorders. Prolonged usage or high doses of this medicine can lead to a higher risk of addiction.

NOTE:

This medicine, if taken in excessive dosage, can cause withdrawal symptoms such as convulsions, behavioral disorders, tremors, anxiety, etc. It is not recommended for use.

The accused, Nade Chakradhari, was apprehended by Sri T.Rambabu, Inspector of Police, V.Sandeep, SI of Police, Sri ASI S. Shiva kumar, T.Prashanth, PC  2370 , Kum A.Anusha, WPC 31194 & Suvarna, WHG 2221  and he was arrested and has been sent to judicial custody under the supervision of Sri L.Raja Venkata Reddy, Asst Commissioner of Police, Asifnagar Division, Hyderabad.
