MRM Telangana: “Until We Give Women Their Due Place, The Dream of Progress Will Remain Incomplete”

Hyderabad, January 1’2026 (PMI): The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) is committed to addressing the issues faced by women in society. In a recent event held in Hyderabad, the South India Convenor and In-Charge, Mr. Elias Ahmad, urged MRM Telangana officials to focus on expanding the organization’s activities and prioritize resolving women’s issues. Telangana State Convenor Mr. Najaf Ali Shaukat, along with Mahila Convenor Shabaz Fatima, emphasized the importance of these efforts.

Speaking at the event, Shabaz Fatima addressed a crucial topic, stating: “Women are the foundation of any society. As mothers, sisters, daughters, and wives, they nurture generations. However, it is unfortunate that even today, in many parts of the world, women are deprived of their basic rights. Key issues faced by women include lack of education, domestic violence, economic insecurity, inadequate healthcare, and social injustice. Many girls are unable to pursue education due to poverty or outdated traditions, which leaves them unaware of their rights. Similarly, some women suffer from domestic violence but remain silent due to fear or the stigma associated with speaking out.”

The next question raised was: What is the solution to these problems?

In response, MRM Convenor Mr. Najaf Ali Shaukat stated, “The leadership of MRM has already pointed out that the most effective solution is education. When a woman is educated, she not only understands her rights but also contributes to creating a better society. The second solution is the implementation of laws. Strict enforcement of laws designed to protect women is essential. The third important solution is social awareness. We need to raise awareness in homes, schools, and society that women and men are equal human beings.”

He further stressed the importance of empowering women economically so that they can lead independent lives. “Better healthcare facilities and a society based on respect and dignity are also the hallmarks of a civilized community.”

At this occasion, Shabaz Fatima reiterated her commitment to the cause, stating, “Until we give women their rightful place, the dream of progress will remain incomplete. Let us all work together to build a society where women feel safe, empowered, and respected.” ( pressmediaohindia.com)
