HYDERABAD DECCAN/ LAKHNOW: 26 Jul (PMI): Allama Mirza Muhammad Ashfaq, a world renowned Shia Muslim scholar, researcher, priest, writer, poet and the president of All India Shia Muslims Personal Law Board (AISMPLB) passed away this morning due to heart attack. He was the younger brother of Mirza Muhammad Athar late, who also served as AISMPLB. Allama Ashfaq was well known person not only in India but also across the world.
Maulana Ali Hyder Farishta from Majma-e-Ulama-o-Khutaba Hyderabad Deccan (Hind) has expressed his condolence over the sad demise and said that Allama Ashfaq’s services towards nation particularly for Shia community will be memorable for India as well as entire world.
He further quoted that Mirza Ashfaq had addressed Majalis (Religious gatherings) in Hyderabad Deccan at Dewdi Inayat Jung Bahadur nearly for two decades which were organized by Syed Hussain Aga younger brother of Syed Ghulam Hussain Raza Aga (Mujtahidul Asr) during the first Ashra-e- Muharram (first ten days of Islamic calendar) and after the demise of Maulana Mirza Mohammed Ather (Khateeb-e-Akbar) Allama Ashfaq continued the Majalis-e-Ashra in Mumbai (Bombay).
Maulana Ali Hyder Farishta on behalf of all the members of Majma-e- Ulama-o-Khutaba Hyderabad Deccan (Hind) has expressed condolences with his nephew Maulana Mirza Yasoob Abbas and his family members and the people of Lakhnow.
Maulana Dr Syed Nisar Hussain known as Hyder Aga, the president of All India Majlis-e-Shia Ulama-o-Zakreen (AIMSUZ) has also expressed his condolence over the sad demise of Mirza Syed Ashfaq Qibla. Huder Aga said that Allama Ashfaq was a prominent professor of university, poet and priest and his service are unforgettable.
In 1970’s the Ulama, Zakreen and khutaba (Scholars, Speaker and Narrators) from Lakhnow and Uttar Pradesh were very famous in Hyderabad as Hyderabadi Azadar and some of them were Khateeb-ul-Eiman Maulana Syed Muzaffar Hussain Taher Jarwali, Mirza Muhammad Ather, Mirza Muhammed Ashfaq, Mirza Muhammad Aalam and others.
Syed Najaf Ali Shoukat, the President of Anjuman-e-Matami Grohaan Hyderabad Deccan, Telangana State, and State Vice President of BJP Minority Morcha has passed his condolences from Islamic Republic of Iran and his elder brother Syed Hussain Ali Sajjad (Senior Journalist) has also expressed his condolence over the demise of Allama Mirza Muhammad Ashfaq with their family members.
