Hyderabad, Dec.24 (PMI): The
ruling TRS party’s rebel MLC Ramulu Naik on Monday alleged that a
conspiracy was being hatched to kill him in the State. He alleged that
the State government was trying to implicate him in some false cases and send
him to jail after foisting a case.
Speaking
to the media today, Ramulu Naik said he was being targeted by the ruling party
leaders for the last one year. He said he was going to High Court seeking protection
for his life. He made it clear that the State government would be held
responsible if any harm was done to his life.
Naik
said he called on Council chairman and sought four weeks time to submit his
reply. Naik alleged that the chairman declined to give him four weeks time and
he had received a show-cause notice from the chairman on December 18, 2018.
Naik also alleged that TRS leader B. Venkateswarlu, who had lodged a complaint
against him, was also party defector.
Claiming
that he was not the member of any political party, Naik said he met Congress
president Rahul Gandhi to appraise him about the problems faced by the tribal
community in the State. He also clarified he was not a member of the Congress.
He said he was appointed as MLC under Governor’s quota under Social Service
Category. He alleged that the TRS leaders developed grudge against him as he
