Hyderabad, May 24 (Shoukat-PMI): Dr Tarun Joshi, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda ordered in the interest of Public Peace and tranquillity that all liquor shops, hotels, restaurants, clubs and other establishments selling/serving liquor, situated within the limits Yadadri Bhuvanagiri Zone of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate i.e., Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District shall remain closed and not permitted to sell/serve liquor to anyone whosoever, from 4 pm on May 25 to 4 pm on May 27.
Non-proprietary clubs, star hotels, restaurants and hotels run by anyone even if they are issued different categories of licenses for possession and supply of liquor, shall also not be permitted to serve liquor on these days, in connection with Bye-Election to the Telangana Legislative Council from Warangal Nalgonda Graduates constituency to be held on May 27.
The order will be in force from 4pm on May 25 to 4pm on May 27 as per the statutory provisions laid down under sec 135-C of the Representation of the People Act 1951. (PMI)
