Hyderabad, Jan.28 (PMI): Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh (BJP) today caught a container van which was transporting cows allegedly for slaughtering in Medchal District. The incident occurred under Shamirpet police station limits.
On coming to know that about 60 cows were being illegally transported on Shamsabad highway, for slaughtering, Raja Singh proceeded to the place, along with his followers. He searched some Lorries parked there. On checking a container, nearly 60 cows were found. He immediately got the container shifted to Serilingampally police station, and registered a case. Six members arrested.
Later police took the cleaner of the van into custody and started interrogating him, to find out from where the cows were being transported and who was behind it. (PMI)
