Hyderabad: Telangana State IAS Officers’ Association office-bearers today met Chief Secretary S.P. Singh at the Secretariat and submitted a resolution passed by the Association on Mahbubabad incident in which Dr Preethi Meena, District Collector & District Magistate was allegedly pulled by local MLA during the launch of Haritha Haaram program on July 12 and sought stern action.
The Chief Secretary heard them patiently and thanked all for showing solidarity with Dr Preethi Meena. He said the government will take action against the erring MLA as per Law. He also said the government would set up a Grievance Redressal Cell to prevent such heinous incidents in future.
Association president B.P. Acharya requested the Chief Secretary to entrust the investigation to a Lady Officer not below the rank of IG. He also thanked the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary for taking prompt action and also thanked the media for showing support towards the incident. Shanti Kumari, Principal Secretary to CM, Adharsinha, GAD Principal Secretary, Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Finance Secretary and other lady IAS officers participated in the meeting.
