Hyderabad, Municipal & IT Minister KT Rama Rao today declared that Metro Rail facility connecting Miyapur and LB Nagar stretch will be completed by next June. “The State government is firm on completing the Metro Rail and extend the facility by next June”, he maintained. KTR promised that the city will be developed into a world class city with all facilities and infrastructure in place.
Participating in a program here today, the Municipal Administration Minister said a whopping amount of Rs 2000 crore was being spent for constructing reservoirs to provide safe drinking water to the residents of the twin cities.
Talking to media persons later, KTR said Rs 700 crore will be spent on providing drinking water under Outer Ring Road purview. Besides, construction of underground drainage facility will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 3,100 crore, he said, adding they would build 4,000 houses for the poor in LB Nagar and Maheshwaram mandals. He also claimed that they have improved power supply facility by spending Rs 12,000 crore.
