Milad-un-Nabi, Ganesh Festivities Bring Long Weekend Cheer for Hyderabadis

HyderabadSept 4(PMI) Families in Hyderabad are gearing up for a much-awaited long weekend, courtesy of back-to-back public holidays — Milad-un-Nabi on Friday and Ganesh idol immersion festivities on Saturday.

Educational institutions and government offices have already declared holidays for both days, giving students and employees ample time to plan short trips or family gatherings. For those willing to stretch their break further, taking leave on Thursday will turn the weekend into a four-day getaway.

Friday, September 5, being Milad-un-Nabi, is also a bank holiday. However, while Saturday, September 6, is a holiday for schools and government offices due to Ganesh idol immersion, banks will remain open as it is not a second Saturday.

With the weather clearing up after recent rains, many families are considering this as a perfect opportunity to step away from the city’s hustle and bustle and spend quality time together.(pressmediaofindia.com)
