: Federation of Handloom Organizations is conducting a state level meeting ‘against imposition of GST on handloom products’, at Sundarayya Vignana kendram, Bagh Lingampally here, at 10 am on September 9.
Federation President Macherla Mohan Rao said in a press note today that leaders of different political parties from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and weavers from Primary handloom cooperatives across the two states will attend the meeting. He said that Handloom is taxed for the first time sinceIndependence, and this will impact the livelihood of lakhs of weavers’ families.
